Thanks for stopping by! I have also started a PEDRO ALMAGUER FAMILY site, come by and visit.

Are we related? Is your great-grandfather our mother's cousin's grandma's nephew once removed?

Grandfather
Pedro Almaguer was born on November 21, 1886 in General Cepeda, Coah. Mexico. His parents were Ignacio Almaguer and Martina Marentes. Pedro Married Josefa Chapa. Lupe Almaguer was their 2nd oldest child. Lupe married Juana Cardenas in Sept. 12, 1942 and lived in San Isidro, Mexico. Through out the years they moved to San Carlos and Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico before migrating to Texas, USA, in 1956. They built their home in Eagle Pass and would migrate North during the summer months to work in the fields.
They had seven children:
Jose Angel                    Carlos
Olga Yolanda                Maria Elena
Rojelio                          Dora Elia
Luis (me)

In the early 1970's the family stopped going north and remained in Eagle Pass so that the youger children could stay in school. Lupe worked for Vickrey and Assoc. as a chainman with a survey crew until his retirement in 1987. Lupe and Juana were married for 56 years until Lupe's death in 1998.

Thumb through the Family Album

I will be posting some of the family history. We were migrant workers when we first came to this country. Our family has lived all over the country from Eagle Pass, TX. to Sidney, Montana, from California to Florida.
Picking fruit, weeding beats, picking potatoes, onions, pecans, cotton, etc. we did it all. From 1956 until the early 70's we traveled North and followed the crops. This is our Family!

What is new!!

Check out the up dates to the Almaguer Happenings page -

Eagle Pass Library - page added 01-19-05

Eagle Pass Lomas - page added 01-20-05

I will now be able to update the website more often.

I built this page for my sons. It has a lot of pictures and a wave file I am still trying to work the bugs out of. But try it and see if you can view all of it.CLICK HERE

This one is dedicated to my wife, ELFIDA

On June 15, 2002, Carlos was in a quinceanera. This was his second time as an escort and he really enjoyed it. We were very surprised that he danced all night to Mexican music. Click HERE to view those pictures.

In 2004 we were in Eagle Pass and got visit the Eagle Pass Public Library. Click HERE to see the pictures.

Okay, while we were discussing our teenage son, we came out with this idea. Teenagers go through 150 mood changes a day! So we studied our son and came up with this mood chart. It shows his facial expressions and what they indicate. It should be of great help to all parents. TEEN MOODS!
