Family Spring Break 2003

We had very nice weather the first day of Spring Break, so Dora decided that we should go to Mother Neff Park near Moody, TX. We got there after noon and found an empty campsite. We took out all our stuff and set the kids loose. We had both our grandkids with us. Isabelle will be with us all through spring break. Elfie talked to Shiela on Sunday and we got to have Little Mike with us on Monday. He is so Big! Shiela and Little Mike will be here until Aaron finishes his training in New Mexico.

Mother Neff Park is just outside Moody, TX. about 20 minutes from Waco. It is a small park, but nice. We were there for about 4 hours and had a great time.

We left home and Little Mike was being shy.

Big Mike tried out the video camera and little Mike tried out the binoculars.

Little Mike keeps a lookout for Bears!

Edric, Mike and Carlos go for a game of dodgeball.

They didn't get to hit each other too much. They can kick a ball better than they can throw one.

Edric went to recover the ball from the brush and little Mike went to help incase any bears were in the area.

Isabelle waking up Uncle "Arlo". That is what she calls Carlos.

Now what can I get into out here?

Elfida explains "sharing" to the grandkids.

Oh, come on Uncle Carlos. Get up and play!

Wha'cha up to Grandma?

NOT TO FAST!!

Here I come!

Dora and Edric compete to see who can go the highest.

OK, time to take out all the munchies. We had fruit, sandwiches, sodas, juice, etc.

Little Mike takes a break after coming back from the playground.

Little Mike did some fishing but couldn't catch anything. Those fish don't know how to play right.

OK, time to go for a walk.

On the way home little Mike was being shy again.

Time to take off the shoes and relax.

WE HAD A GREAT TIME!

The weather was great. The only problem we had was with the bees. They love soda! If you go out there make sure noone spills soda on the table or the ground where you are eating. Everytime you left your soda alone two or three bees would drown in it.
